2021 is off to a Fast Start for Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology deals have been accelerating, with eight closed transactions in Q4 2020 and another eight already closed (as of Jan 19) in 2021. We believe this will be a very big year for GI.

Transaction sizes have been mixed recently between large and small deals. On the large side, Waud Capital Partners-backed GI Alliance acquired Digestive Health Associates of Texas (48 physicians). Assured Healthcare Partners acquired Allied Digestive Health, a 65-physician platform.

At the same time, GI alliance completed two more add-on deals with one- and five-physician practices. Webster Equity Partners-backed One GI, HIG Capital's Pinnacle GI Partners, and Webster Equity Partners' One GI have also completed smaller add-ons deals recently.

As Predicted, Gastroenterology Acquisition Activity Surges to New High in Q1 2021 – Major Opportunity for Selling Physicians
